We are very pleased to announce another micro-tagged head reward program for the 2021 season. We first want to thank our sponsors Moonshine Lures, Captain Chucks II, Blood Run Tackle, Jays Sporting Goods and Collins Design and Build. These companies have stepped up to support research on our salmon and trout fishery and we encourage you to support them. We also want to thank the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to help administer the program and reward drawing. Turning in micro-tagged heads helps our fisheries biologists learn more on stocking success, the contribution of stocking to our fishery, growth rates and movement of fish throughout the Great Lakes. It only takes a few minutes to fill out a tag slip and drop a head in a freezer. Your contribution can go a long way to help make the best scientific decisions for our salmon and trout fishery. That fish you catch might be worth $100. The more heads you turn in, the more chances you have to win.
